McCaffrey Throws His Way To Being New All-Time Career Passing Leader

A 3rd Quarter 32-yard touchdown pass to junior Malik Hamilton to put Knox up 21-14 over Lake Forest made senior Quarterback Matt McCaffrey Knox's new career leader in passing yards.

McCaffrey came into the game needing 108 yards to surpass the mark previously held by Bob Monroe. Monroe was the quarterback from 1984 to 1987, compiling a record 6,404 yards of passing during that time.

Against Lake Forest, McCaffrey went 12-for-22 on the day for 135 yards. That puts him at 6,431 yards for his career with 5 games still remaining.

During his tenure at Knox, McCaffrey has already put together a stellar career. Besides being the record holder for career passing yards, he holds a collection of other records for the Prairie Fire.
