Knox College Pre-Med Students Learn from Alumni on Medical Immersion Trip

2017 Jul 7

A group of pre-med Knox College students recently took part in a "Medical Immersion" experience, learning firsthand from Knox alumni what it means to be a medical professional. The group included Jeri Rosenbloom, of Dallas.

A graduate of B T Washington For The Performing Arts, Rosenbloom was among 11 Knox students who spent their spring break traveling to locations around the Chicago area to meet with Knox College alumni involved in a variety of different careers in medicine, from pediatrics to surgery.

"Knox prepared me so well for medical school and beyond," said Kelsea Flanagan M.D. '02, one of the physicians who met with the students. "There's a tradition in medicine, and at Knox, of helping those who want to travel down a similar path."

Alumni participants were Flanagan, Eric P. Williams, David Altman '67, Susan Arjmand '83, Suchita Kishore '93, Scott Mendelson '00, Harry Whitmore '01, Susan Clare, Tom Spyratos '06, and Delilah Burrowes.
